10-23-07: Jo Ben
Slivka of Summit Rescue Group is teaching a search planning class this
weekend at WSC, on 10/27 & 28. Saturday will be lecture and Sunday will
be search scenarios. If you are interested in attending please contact

09-13-07: Our Search and Rescue Team needs Computer Operators to drive the team computer during search missions. This person will help the Incident Command and the Mission Planner by operating the computer, allowing these people concentrate on the big picture. We need volunteers to learn how to use our TOPO software and be prepared to perform this function. Qualifications needed are a basic comfort in operating a computer and a willingness to attend a 3 hour training session. Please let me know via e-mail if you are interested. I'm planning two training sessions if we have enough interest. Sessions will be in mid October and mid November. You will only need to attend one session. In your return e-mail please provide the following:
Is Oct. or Nov. better for you?
Would you prefer a weekend session 9:00 to 12:00 in the AM or a
weekday evening 6:00 to 9:00 PM?
Do you have TOPO software on your personal computer?
Your preferred way to be contacted.
Any other information you deem appropriate.
Once I receive your feedback I'll set up a tentative training session
and check this against your schedule. Thanks in advance for considering
doing this important job.
